“Suppose one of you wants to build a tower. Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it? For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it, everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying, ‘This person began to build and wasn’t able to finish” (Luke 14:28-30).

The biggest hurdle that you will leap over to arrive in your place of destiny and fulfillment is not really at the beginning, it’s not even at the end of the journey but it’s right in the center. That’s where it is. You look through your Bible and you will notice a pattern where God’s people are confronted by their biggest challenge right in the middle. The number one reason why the middle ground is so fierce is because you are not where you are going though you are not where you used to be. The devil is afraid that if you cross the line that you are standing on right now you are never going back to where you came from. When you are in the middle, you have announced your assignment to the world. Interestingly, before you declare who you are and what you are called to do, you pose no threat to anybody but the moment you announce what you represent and what you’re all about, you have differentiated yourself. You’ve set yourself apart from the crowd. You’ve made it known that you are not like everybody else. The moment that you stand for something you already stand against something else.
When God calls you and puts you right on a mission, that mission will cause you to stand out and people will begin to see you differently. It will also announce your opposition. Your position reveals your opposition.

You’ll ever have a political opponent if you are not running for office. But today if you went to the city council saying, Listen, give me a form because I want to run for political office. Instantly, you have political opponents, and they all begin to attack you. Your assignment stretches you. It stretches when you are in the middle and that’s where many people have a hard time going all the way. Greatness does not start from around you. It starts from within you. Okay, you can never go from point A to point B if you’ve not been there first before you go there physically. You will arrive there by a divine supernatural vision – the inner projection of your destination. When God takes you there inside, nobody else is there but you and God. What you see within and where you have been in your spirit will get you through even when the storm in the middle looks overwhelming.
The vision of God for your life is so powerful. It changes everything about you and make you the embodiment of your own assignment. It changes your vocabulary. It changes the way you speak. It changes your perspective. It changes your worldview. And so, though you might feel low today, but God has taken you to high places, and because you’ve been there in the Spirit, you are speaking the language of your future. You are saying I’m great. And everyone might be looking at you and wondering if you lost your mind. You know that your physical position is not your expected end.

People might doubt you at the beginning and naysayers might roll their eyes at you, but you keep declaring what God has put into your spirit, keep bringing your God-destination into reality and the storm in the middle will give way for you to pass because the grace and favor of God is upon your life. You must hold on strong and not allow the middle ground crisis to blow you away. Nobody walks the way from the bottom in just one step. It takes many little steps and processes to be a world changer. As you go one step at a time, you will realize that you are not where you used to be.

Have you ever sat down, and you began to wonder if what you believe is true? If God will do what He says He will do? And there is conflict and battle that’s going on inside of you about what God said He is going to do in your life. Have you ever sat down alone? And you’re in doubt? Wondering, what if I don’t get this? What if I never received my harvest? What if I never step into my season of fulfillment? What if I never receive what God promised me. That is the battle in the middle ground? The Battle of not being where you’re going? You don’t fit where you’re coming, but you have not yet obtained where you’re going. And the devil says to you, Quit now! The devil is a liar. It has already happened in the Spirit. It has taken place within you, and it is bound to manifest in nature. The enemy will try to create the battle of the inner conflict to make you doubt the Word God gave you. God’s grace will take you to your fullness of purpose. You will not drown in the middle.
The first few days when you hit the gym and you start lifting those heavy kilos, it will stretch your muscles; and do you know what happens to your muscle? it begins to hurt and swell but that’s not the time to give up. Keep moving by God’s grace and you will arrive in your place of God’s promise.
