American industrialist and the founder of the Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford once said, “Think you can, think you can’t, either way, you’ll be right”. I am usually fascinated by the exceptional stories of people who by the grace of God overcame adversity and turned what should have been a dead end into a new beginning. One commonality with every rag-to-riches story is that one moment in time when they had a shift on the inside and decided that things had to change. That is the point when heaven collided with the earth – the passion embraces purpose. That is the point everything starts to come together.
The missing link to the fulfillment of your divine destiny and prosperity is not exactly what you lack but the inability to see what you have. In the earliest days of my ministry, the Lord told me. “I have already given you all that you need to succeed in the assignment I have given to you” Wow! That Word hit me like a tornado. In the beginning, I believed it but it took time for me to unpack the mystery of it. Many are asking God to give them what they have already been abundantly blessed with.
Your Bible records words along these lines in,
Ephesians 1:3, AMP “Blessed and worthy of praise be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms in Christ”. (Bold emphasis mine).
God uses past participle tense to describe His provision and blessings into our lives. He is not about to do it, He has already blessed you with every spiritual blessing. This blessing mandate is not only speaking of spiritual gifts such as tongues, prophecy and healing. It includes financial and material blessings. We are blessed first in our spirit and then it manifests in the natural realm covering every area of our lives such as family, finance and future. When you draw a distinction between the blessing in your spirit and your physical blessings, you will break the link of God’’ cycle of blessing. The same God who blessed you with salvation and the gifts of the Holy Spirit also blesses you with houses, cars, great health, amazing family and every benefit in Christ Jesus.
YOUR BLESSING IS IN YOUR ASSIGNMENT
2 Corinthians 8:9 AMP “For you are recognizing [more clearly] the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [His astonishing kindness, His generosity, His gracious favor], that though He was rich, yet for your sake, He became poor, so that by His poverty you might become rich” (abundantly blessed).
This scripture is the substantiation of the goodness of God in my life. All the blessings that I have received have come to me by recognizing more clearly that amazing grace of my Lord Jesus Christ Who was rich but became poor for me so that through His poverty I might become rich. When I was 14 years old, I was taking a walk through the church garden. All of a sudden I felt the gentle breeze of the Holy Spirit move across my shoulder. Then the heavy hand of God was placed on my back. I was overwhelmed with the awestruck presence of God. Then I heard His gentle but assertive voice. He said, “Run with the vision,” He said it again,
“Run with the vision of the ministry that I have given you. Everything you need is in the vision and you will lack for nothing” Before this encounter, I had been preaching as a young itinerant evangelist but at that moment, I knew God was calling me to commit my entire life to full-time ministry.
One year later, at the age of 15, I officially launched the ministry and began travelling under the flagship of Full Power International Ministry – the name later changed to Bible Davids Ministries. I began to conduct healing and miracle conferences, published books and produced teachings in cassettes – (that was before CDs and online messages). Within two years, the ministry was able to employ 7 staff that travelled with me and coordinated the operations of the ministry. This was long before I received the call to pioneer churches. The Lord used this process to cultivate in me the faith in finances. I have seen firsthand what it means to enjoy supernatural provision. God always made a way for us and He still does.
Today, our ministry is making an impact all around the world through church planting, healing and miracle conferences, crusades, leadership programs, humanitarian efforts, book publishing, television ministry and many more. When I look back at the journey so far, and ass one who has been obedient to the heavenly vision and not deviated doing nothing else with life other than preach the Gospel in well over 30 years, and has seen the mighty Hand of God take me across the world and bless me in ways too numerous to count, I can boldly tell you my friend that your blessing is in your assignment and you are richer than you think. Can you see it?
YOUR BLESSING IS IN YOUR SEED
In recent years the economy of the world has been shaky and unstable. God’s economic system remains unchanging and Heavenly Treasures Bank never runs out. You can anchor your finances on God’s system and not on the world’s system. Many believers are holding back their giving with the assumption that when the world’s economy gets better and their finances improve, they will start giving. This is a trap of the enemy, don’t fall for it. It is actually when there is famine in the land that you ought to give to God with greater intentionality for a mighty harvest.
Genesis 26:1 AMP “Now there was a famine in the land [of Canaan], besides the previous famine that had occurred in the days of Abraham”. 12 Then Isaac planted [seed] in that land [as a farmer] and reaped in the same year a hundred times [as much as he had planted], and the Lord blessed and favored him. 13 And the man [Isaac] became great and gained more and more until he became very wealthy and extremely distinguished; 14 he owned flocks and herds and a great household [with a number of servants], and the Philistines envied him”.
The supernatural protocol of the spirit operates counter-distinctive to the natural law. You ought to plant seeds and give more to God’s Kingdom for the spread of the Gospel in times of famine. When people fall sick is when they actually seek a doctor. God’s cure for a lean pocket is the law of seed, time and harvest. Start giving today and watch God turn your financial fortune around.
